Cookie Policy
What is a cookie?
What is a cookie? A cookie is a small text file that is memorised by the computer when a website is visited by a user. The text memorises information that the website can then read should it be consulted again later. Some of these cookies are required to enable the website to work properly. Instead, others are useful to the visitor because they are capable of safely memorising certain information, such as, username and language settings. The advantage of having cookies installed in your PC is that in this way there is no longer any need to fill in the same information each time you want to access a website you have visited previously.
First party and third party cookies
First party cookies are those generated and used by the manager of the website on which the user is browsing. Third party cookies, such as those set by the Facebook “Like” button, are generated and used by parties other than the manager of the website on which the user is browsing, based on contracts between the owner of the website and the third party in question. Some advertisers use these cookies to track the visits of users on the websites in which they offer their services.
Technical, analytics and profiling cookies
Technical cookies enable a communication to be sent on an electronic communication network or a service requested by the user to be provided. Examples of technical cookies are those which automatically recognise the language used, facilitate online purchases or make home banking procedures less complicated and safer, etc.
Technical cookies are divided into session cookies, which are automatically erased when the browser is closed, and persistent cookies, which remain filed in the user’s terminal until the set deadline. Analytics cookies are used by the managers of websites to collect aggregated statistical information (e.g. to find out how many visitors the website has).
Profiling cookies monitor the user’s browsing session, tracking it in order to monitor and build a profile of the same (in terms of tastes, habits, consumer choices, then used for sending personalised advertising materials).
Cookies used by www.fgfiorentin.com
The website www.fgfiorentin.com uses technical session cookies and Google Analytics cookies for statistical purposes in relation to the visits to the website. It does not use any profiling cookies.
FG sas Di Fiorentin Giuseppe & C. has implemented suitable tools for reducing the extent to which the user can be recognised, by masking significant portions of the IP address, and has restricted the third party, not permitting them to use cookies for purposes other than for providing the service to the manager of the website.
In particular, to deactivate Google Analytics cookies, a specific additional component provided by Google can be used. To install it click here.
How do I deactivate cookies?
It is possible to modify the browser and thus deactivate the cookies using a very simple procedure. Warning: when you deactivate cookies, your user name and password will no longer be memorised in the login box of the website.
